Gisele Bundchen shared her pregnancy fitness secrets and stirred up a little controversy.
The supermodel and new mum to Benjamin (eight months old) explained to Harper's Bazaar magazine how she was able to pose for swimmers ads just six weeks after her son's birth. Gisele practiced kung fu, daily meditation, and yoga three times a week throughout her entire pregnancy. “It prepared me mentally and physically,” “It’s called ‘labour,’ not ‘holiday’ for a reason, and I knew that. You want to go into the most intense physical experience of your life unprepared?"
She stirred up a bit of a public outrage yesterday after her quote on breastfeeding hit the internet. “I think there should be a worldwide law . . . that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months,” “Some people here think they don’t have to breastfeed and I think, ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?’”
Gisele posted an explanation of the quote on her blog, saying that she didn't mean the comment the way it was being taken by many mums. It came across in the interview differently. I'm sure we can all think of something we've said that didn't come out the way we wanted.
