One of the things I did to help lose a lot of the water weight at first was the cabbage soup diet. My workouts were based around a lot of resistance training, which means simply using your own body weight to gain strength (like doing push ups, sit ups, and the dreadful, yoga ball). Wasn’t my favourite, but it worked! TRemember that nothing worth it is ever easy. It takes time and effort to make anything great, no matter what it is you’re doing. Remember that it took 10 months to grow the baby and gain all that weight, so, it usually takes the same amount of time to lose it and get back to where your body was before you were pregnant. Here is the day by day Cabbage Soup Diet plan I followed:
Homemade Cabbage Soup
- 6 large green onions
- 2 green peppers
- 1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)
- 1 bunch celery
- 1/2 head cabbage
- 1 package Onion Soup Mix
- 1 or 2 cubes bouillon (optional)
- 1 48 ounce can of tomato juice (like V8)
- juice (optional)
- seasonings, to taste (salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc.)
Step 1: Throw everything into a big pot and cook on stove. Cover for the first 10 min. Uncover for last 5 minutes.
- Make soup fresh daily!!!
- Cook enough for 6 small bowls.
- After the 1st day, add coriander, zucchini, squash, capsicum, broccoli, carrot, bok choy and other delicious veggies to change it up daily.
