Theatrical Releases 3/4/11:

1. Rango (PG)

"Rango is an ordinary chameleon who accidentally winds up in the town of Dirt, a lawless outpost in the Wild West in desperate need of a new sheriff. "

2. The Adjustment Bureau (PG-13)

Starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt

A sci-fi drama:  "Just as he is on the brink of winning a senate seat, politician David Norris meets a ballerina named Elise Sellas. Though David is smitten, mysterious men conspire to keep him away from the beautiful dancer."

3. Take Me Home Tonight (R)

Starring Anna Farris, Topher Grace, and Teresa Palmer

"Follow an aimless college grad who pursues his dream girl at a wild Labour Day weekend party. He, his twin sister and their best friend struggle with their burgeoning adulthood over the course of the night."

4. Beastly (PG-13)

Starring Vanessa Hudgens, Alex Pettyfer, and Mary-Kate Olsen

"A modern spin on the tale of "Beauty & the Beast".  An arrogant teen is turned into an ugly monster in order to find the meaning of true love."

New on DVD & BLU-RAY 3/1/11:

1. 127 Hours (R)

Starring James Franco, Kate Mara, and Amber Tamblyn

"The true story of how Aron Ralston survived a near-fatal fall while mountain climbing alone in Utah."

I read Aron's book and watched the documentaries, but haven't seen the movie yet.  James Franco was nominated for an Oscar for this performance.

2. Love and Other Drugs (R)

Starring Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal

"Maggie is an alluring free spirit who won't let anyone – or anything – tie her down. But she meets her match in Jamie, whose relentless and nearly infallible charm serve him well with the ladies and in the cutthroat world of pharmaceutical sales"

3. Burlesque (PG-13)

Starring Christina Aguilera, Cher, Cam Gigandet, and Kristen Bell

"A small-town girl ventures to Los Angeles and finds her place in a neo-burlesque club run by a former dancer."

I skipped this one at the theatre because of the uber-awful reviews, but I might check it out on DVD.  Did you see it?

4. Faster (R)

Starring Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, Maggie Grace, and Billy Bob Thornton

"An ex-con sets out to avenge his brother's death after they were double-crossed during a heist years ago. During his campaign, however, he's tracked by a veteran cop and an egocentric hit man."
