Clos du Bois Cabernet Sauvignon Review

I will never deny that I love having a glass of wine every night. I consider it my reward for making it through yet another long day with my kids

As the temperatures finally begin to dip here in California for fall, I begin to start drinking my rich, delicious Cabernet Sauvignons. Cabernet Sauvignon is the most noble of red wine. It is deep in colour, full bodied and has vivid aromas. It is by far my favourite varietal of red wine to drink during the cooler months.

An excellent Cabernet for everyday drinking is Clos du Bois’ 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon. Clos du Bois Classic wines have long been popular among consumers and the cabernet is no exception.  The Clos du Bois vineyards in Sonoma County provide the rich, diverse soil and climate to grow the small, black, tough-skinned cabernet grapes.

The Clos du Bois Cabernet is a full bodied, deep purple cab. It is an excellent choice for your weeknight glass of wine. Although slightly sweet on the nose, it has a bit of a spicy kick at the finish, which I like. This cab is well balanced, smooth and is an easy drinker. This wine pairs well with grilled meats and other hearty dishes. I recommend the following pairing options for the fall: grilled steak, roasts, hearty lasagna, pizza, as well as lamb dishes.

You can buy this cabernet at a very reasonable price, ranging from $12-$18. It is available on various online wine websites, as well as local supermarkets and other liquor stores.

So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and grab a bottle of Clos du Bois’ Cabernet this week, put your feet up and sip away!
