Whitney Houston dies at the age of 48
In February, the music world was rocked when the iconic singer was found dead in her hotel bathroom, just hours before she was set to perform at a Grammy party. Whitney had been struggling for the past few years with addiction.
Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and other family members recently debuted their new reality TV show, “The Houstons: On Our Own”.
Kristen Stewart and her ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ Director Rupert Sanders Caught In Affair
The Twilight actress (and girlfriend of co-star Robert Pattinson) shocked the world this summer when she was caught red-handed in a series of comprising photos with the married director. Kristen and Rupert apologised to their partners for their lapse in judgement and continue to try to mend things with them. The scandal didn’t hamper the box office success of the final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn Part 2, as it smashed records on it’s opening weekend last month.
Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry have been battling a number of custody issues ever since they parted ways and things finally boiled over on Thanksgiving morning. When Gabriel brought their daughter Nahla home to Halle’s, a physical fight broke out between Gabriel and Halle’s fiance Olivier Martinez. Gabe wound up in the hospital and beaten pretty badly. After threats of legal action and restraining orders (and curiously mis-aimed security cameras), the trio suddenly came to a peaceful agreement and all agreed to drop the matter entirely.
Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie get engaged
After years of saying they were content without a marriage certificate and that they wanted to wait until their gay and lesbian friends could also legally marry, Brad and Angelina got engaged! Brad finally put a ring on it after prodding and pleading from their six kids to make it official.
Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth split
After 11 years together and three gorgeous daughters, ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ star Jennie Garth and ‘Twilight’ actor Peter Facinelli announced their divorce. The split came on in the spring while Jennie was shooting a reality series about moving away from the bustle of Hollywood. Some speculated that there was jealousy over Peter’s success with the Twilight franchise, but Jennie shot down those rumors.
These days Jennie, who turned 40 in April, is focusing on herself and her girls and says that getting back into dating is not easy right now. Peter recently debuted his girlfriend, his ‘Loosies’ co-star, Jaimie Alexander, 28.
Tori Spelling Announces Baby #4 on the way, just after daughter Hattie’s birth!
Actress Tori Spelling was left stunned when she found out that she was expecting baby #4 – just a few months after the birth of her daughter Hattie. Tori found out during a visit to the E.R. for her chronic migraines. The pregnancy wasn’t an easy one and she wound up hospitalised before and after the pregnancy.
The couple welcomed Finn on August 30th and mum and baby are healthy and happy and doing well!
Michael Clarke Duncan dies at 54
Talented actor and Oscar nominee Michael Clarke Duncan suddenly passed away in September after complications from a heart attack. Michael suffered a heart attack in July and had been hospitalised for several months after. During his stay, the Green Mile actor suffered a second heart attack and died. Michael left behind his fiance, Omarosa Manigault. The two were set to marry in January 2013.
