Holiday season means mulling spices to me. I love the flavor, but most of all it’s the smell that gets me. The scent of mulling spices wafting through the air makes the house feel warm and cosy. I usually make mulled cider but recently came up with this awesome mulled cranberry punch. It’s extremely versatile because it can be served warm or cold, alcoholic or virgin, which means it’s the perfect recipe to have on hand for all of your holiday entertaining.
Mulled Cranberry Punch
A beverage that will get your revved up for the holidays AND make your entire home smell like Christmas!
- cinnamon sticks: 3
- whole cloves: 1 teaspoon
- cranberry juice: 1 cup (100% juice)
- pineapple juice: 1 cup
- ice: ½ cup (optional)
- dark rum: ⅓ cup (optional)
Step 1: Place all ingredients in a small saucepan over low heat. Simmer until hot.
Step 2: Allow mixture to cool, and then strain out the mulling spices and pour into a glass with ice. Note: Punch can also be served warm and with a shot of rum.
