Crispy Crunchy Taco Bites For Your Super Bowl Party

These crowd pleasing Taco Bites are made with wonderfully seasoned smokey minced beef packed into savoury crunchy wonton wrappers that crisp up perfectly in the oven.     Servings: 12 taco cups


    • Wonton Wrappers: 12
    • Ground Beef: 1/2 pound
    • Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
    • Garlic Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
    • Cumin: 1/4 teaspoon
    • Dried Oregano: 1/4 teaspoon
    • Smoked Paprika: 1/4 teaspoon
    • Coriander: 1/4 teaspoon
    • Canned Fire Roasted and Diced Tomatoes with Green Chiles: 1/2 can (7.25 ounces)
    • Coriander: 1/4 cup, finely chopped
    • Sharp cheddar: 1 cup, shredded
    • Diced Bell Pepper and extra Coriander Leaves for garnish (optional)


    Step 1: Preheat oven to90 degrees C. Lightly grease muffin cups with non-stick oil spray. Place a single wonton wrapper into each muffin cup and set aside.

    Step 2: In a large pan, brown the minced beef over a medium-high flame.

    Step 3: Add the seasonings (salt, garlic powder, cumin, dried oregano, smoked paprika, and coriander) and toss to coat. 

    Step 4: Add the diced tomatoes and finely chopped coriander and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes on a low flame.

    Step 5: Divide the meat mixture evenly among the 12 wonton wrapper-lined muffin cups. 

    Step 6: Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of shredded sharp cheddar over each muffin cup and bake in preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool slightly before garnishing with diced capsicum and fresh coriander. Serve em' up! 

    This recipe can be easily doubled to serve a larger crowd
