Strawberry Tiramisu Recipe

  • I’m Italian, and so tiramisu is one of my dessert specialties. In fact, it’s the most requested dessert from any of my friends once they know I can make it “homemade.” Usually it’s something most people have only when they order it at an Italian restaurant. Every once in a while like to mix it up and make a different version like this strawberry tiramisu. It’s refreshing and a little lighter than the traditional espresso version, and always gets rave reviews.

    Strawberry Tiramisu

    Servings: 8


    • fresh strawberries: 1 pint
    • confectioner's sugar: ½ cup
    • mascarpone cheese: 1 cup
    • heavy cream: ½ cup
    • orange juice: ⅓ cup
    • ladyfingers: 18


    Step 1In a blender, place 2 cups of the strawberries, 2 tablespoons of the confectioner's sugar, and the orange juice; blend to puree and set aside.


     Step 2: Line the bottom of an 8"x8" pan with cookies.


     Step 3: Layer over 1/3 of the strawberry mixture and then 1/3 of the cream mixture.


     Step 4: Repeat one more time, finishing with a layer of cream and strawberry sauce.


    TIP: Use remaining strawberry sauce to serve or as an awesome topping for pancakes or waffles the next morning.
