We’re making the most of the unseasonably warm weather by extending our ice cream season. Before I took the easy way out and buy a few tubs of ice cream, I spent the time to make a bunch of these frozen yoghurt and fruit push pops. They’re an absolute dream as an afternoon snack and healthy enough to even eat for breakfast if you’re into that! They take just a few minutes to put together. My picky son loves them because I can add his favourite fruit and favourite yoghurt flavour. My husband, son and I each have our own favourite flavour combos, and because these are so easy to make, you can make a bunch of flavour combos at once.
Supplies:
- push pop molds like these
- yoghurt in your family’s favourite flavours
- your choice of fruit
- knife
- cutting board
- spoon
Instructions:
Step 1: Dice up your fruit into 1 cm chunks.
Step 2: Begin filling the push-pop molds. Start with a spoonful of yoghurt at the bottom.
Step 3: Add a layer of diced fruit on top of the yoghurt. As you layer, gently tap the mold to get rid of air pockets in the yoghurt.
Step 4: Continue layering until you are near the top of the mold. Cover with a thin layer of yoghurt and top with a final sprinkle of fruit.
Step 5: Place in the freezer until thoroughly frozen.
Step 6: Remove from freezer, push ’em up, and enjoy!
