This moreish pull-apart bread is so good AND it's hiding a clever secret.

    Prep Time:
    Cook time:
    Servings: 10

    • Sourdough loaf: 1
    • Chives: 3 stems
    • Melted butter: 100g
    • Garlic cloves: 2
    • Chives: 3 stems
    • Cheddar cheese: 3/4 cup firmly packed
    • Mozzarella cheese: 3/4 cup firmly packed

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Cut the bread diagonally, about 2cm wide and almost down to the bottom, but not all the way through.

Step 2: Now mix the melted butter with the minced garlic and chopped up chives.

Step 3: Use your fingers and pastry brush to pry open each crack and slide a little spoonful of the butter mixture inside.cheese-pull-apart-recipe-4 Step 4: Then stuff the cheese mixture in too. Don’t worry about pushing it right down; the cheese will naturally drip down as it melts, so the cheese covers the whole piece of bread.

Step 5: Now cover the whole bread with foil, you may want to use two separate bits to do this. Pop it in the oven for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted. cheese-pull-apart-recipe-6

Step 6: Once the cheese is melted, take the top off and allow it to crisp in the oven for 5 minutes. Sprinkle the remaining chopped chives on top.cheese-pull-apart-recipe-7
